Later this month, industry experts will head to Munich for the 30th IFSCC Congress, which is scheduled for Sept. 18-21. Ahead of the event, there are workshops scheduled, including “Optical Non-invasive In-vivo Measurements in Cosmetic Research” and “Skin Models in Cosmetics.” Both workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the official congress hotel, the Infinity Hotel.

According to organizers, optical non-invasive in-vivo measurements are promising methods for the development of cosmetic products. They are suitable for the analysis of different parameters of human skin, as well as other organs.

By law, cosmetic products cannot be tested on animals in several regions of the world. During product development, cosmetics are tested on skin models. Some models represent normal human skin; others represent aged and inflammatory skin. The skin models in cosmetics workshop surveys these models.
